This Greek Revival house originally had an old barn attached to the rear of the house. After determining that the barn was not historically valuable, the original barn was demolished and a new barn-like addition was built which contains the new entry, living room, and master bedroom suite. The original house plan was reorganized to orient major rooms toward the south garden and service spaces to the north side of the house.
